TDA in collaboration with ProFuturo Foundation gave training for 69 ICT teachers to promote digital education

TDA in collaboration with ProFuturo Foundation is working to promote digital education with the cost of over 85 million birr in 320 primary schools in 3 years’ time that has a considerable impact on boosting quality of education.

Explaining that TDA, alongside its partner ProFuturo, is striving to digitalize the teaching learning system by implementing digital education project to improve quality of education in the region besides conducting other different soft programs, Mr Nigus G/kiristos in charge of the project, in an interview, said that the training was administered by senior experts of ProFuturo in the application of the tools and in the use of them in the classrooms.

Having reminded that 12 thousand primary school students benefited from the project previously implemented in 40 primary schools through the training given to ICT and directors concerned during the first phase and so will 72 thousand students through the ongoing project expansion in 160 primary schools, Mr Nigus urged the schools and trainer-teachers to contribute to the improvement of quality of education by properly utilizing the tools provided.

Mr Salhadin Anwar ICT teacher from Yalemberhan High School also explained the importance the training has in terms of enabling children to acquire quality education supported by technology and trainer-teachers to gain experience from the ProFuturo senior experts.

Ms Irene Jimenez Flor training and support responsible, on her part, added that the main objective of ProFuturo Project is to empower teachers to make optimal use of the tools in the classroom that would in turn help them develop digital skills by creating innovative teaching-learning process in schools.
