Being very anxious about the spread of locusts in some parts of Tigrai diaspora Tegaru living in Quatar donated over 78 thousand to support the prevention and eradication efforts of the spread of locusts.

Combined efforts of prevention and eradication of locusts, which involved 70 Enderta Foot Club fans, Kallamino students, TDA staffers and other volunteers, were conducted around woreda Raya Azebo at tabias Hadush Kigni, Kushet Guba Gala and Maru kushet Kuleta on the 24th of October 2012 E.C with the donation money sent by the diaspora to TDA.

Recollecting the fact that they learn in Kallamino Special Secondary School because of the manifold supports extended from Tegarus in Ethiopia and abroad, student Miruts Kindeya said that they have the obligation to help curb the natural disaster facing the people. He added that participating in the harvest to minimize occurrence of the damage on the farm gave him a spiritual gratification.

Finally, Mr. Haftu Kiros CC member and head of TPLF office of southern zone praised the fans of 70 Enderta Football Club, students of Kallamino Special Secondary School who actively participated in protecting the spread and harvesting crops and those of the Diasporas who financially supported this sacred effort.
