The Abiy government has made it clear it has no desire to hold the periodic election as stipulated in the constitution. I honestly thought Birtukan Midekesa may have learned a little about how to run an election during her stay in the U.S. and will be a fair person. Little did I know she was part of the evangelist color revolutionaries who have usurped power in Ethiopia with no intention to hold a fair and free election! To be honest, all along, I doubted Jawar was the real architect that brought down the EPRDF government, although, he still thinks he was! Now, I know for sure, Birtukan was and is at least one of the architects that brought down the EPRDF government, not Jawar!

Ethiopia as we know it is done. I do not doubt that. The question now is when will the Tigrai parliament declare a date for a new election in the region and invoke the constitutional power that enables it to protect its people all over Ethiopia? Time is of the essence. The sooner it declares it's intent the better chance there is for others to follow its footstep to hasten the downfall of the Abiy regime and start the discussion to form a new Federal Ethiopia.

Also, TPLF should stop, hoping against hope, that Abiy will somehow understand the grave consequences of his actions anytime soon. TPLF must abandon its rigid stand of "principle" and act as a pragmatic organization and invite the OLF and all other federalist forces to sit down to discuss an arrangement of Ethiopia based on confederation. Time is of the essence here too!
