We would like to indicate that if the regime continues to escalate its provocations against the security and wellbeing of the Tigrai people, it will be solely responsible for the irreversible damage that may be caused on the unity and peace of the country.

Authorities in Ethiopia's most populous state Oromia say they have arrested more than 500 people who they alleged were working to cause disturbances during the annual Irreecha thanksgiving festival, observed by the Oromo, the country's largest ethnic group.
What a turn of events! Irreecha is the same holiday that was exploited by Jawar and company with the help of politicians from the OPDO/EPRDF to topple the Hailemariam government. Much was said about Irreecha celebration at Bishoftu then, all false. Ethiopian Unveils COVID-19 Global Insurance Cover
Addis Ababa, 01 October 2020 - Ethiopian Airlines Group, the Largest Aviation Group in Africa, is pleased to announce that it will cover the medical insurance including repatriation, evacuation and quarantine costs related to COVID-19 as of 01st of October 2020 until 31st of March 2021. The coverage is applicable on all Ethiopian's international flights booked with the airline's tickets.
Ethiopia is facing a failed federal government. In a few days, the country will have no legal federal government. Many of its regions will also be without an elected government. Nevertheless, Ethiopian Airlines is one of the few institutions that will be honored and respected as a federal institution regardless. We hope this decision is reached based on a sound economic reason. We hope there are mechanisms in place to check cheaters who will file a claim.

Some ridicule the spelling error in the 200-ETB note: "hunoreo". Others focus on the abuse of the currency change as a pretext to confiscate private savings by law enforcement agencies as approved by the PM. Some focus on the economic rationale for the currency change as a mechanism for bankrupting illicit commercial and financial activities.
