Blinken: No military solutions to challenges in Ethiopia
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken warns that the war in Tigray has put Ethiopia on a "path to destruction" that could reverberate throughout east Africa.
Dear Sec Blinken, Ethiopia is facing two separate yet intertwined issues: 1) how to remove Abiy and Isaias from power and 2) how to save the country from disintegrating. The first issue can only be resolved by military means which Tigray Army and OLA are ready to do. The second issue we agree with you only political dialogue by all stakeholders can save the country from disintegration. Mr. Secretary we hope you agree with us the removal of Abiy and Isaias from power is a must for the political dialogue that will save Ethiopia to materialize. Otherwise, no sane person in Tigray or Oromia thinks political dialogue with Abiy is useful at this time. Abiy must go!!

( 11-20-21) - According to Getachew Reda, the dying regime of Abiy Ahmed has continued bombing innocent civilians in the capital city of Mekelle.
"The dying Regime in #Addis conducted a drone attack in a residential area in #Mekelle around 1:am. It's become an unmistakable pattern for #Abiy to target residential quarters in #Tigray whenever his forces are dealt a harsh blow in the battlefield. #TigrayShallPrevail!"

Ethiopia's Tigray conflict: How the Tigray Army has outflanked Ethiopia's army
Once a formidable force that commanded the respect of the US, the Ethiopian army has suffered such heavy losses on the front lines that the government has taken the extraordinary step of calling on ordinary citizens to join the war against the Tigrayan rebels. It marks a dramatic change in the military's fortunes.

Tigray Conflict Update: Abiy Relents UN to Resume Aid Work in Tigray
(11-18-21) - Hoping to save his failing regime and remain in power, Abiy Ahmed has agreed for UN humanitarian Aid trucks to enter Tigray. According to diplomatic sources, this time around the flow of Aid will continue uninterrupted and with no restrictions.
With Tigray Army reaching deep in Amhara territory within a day's walk of Addis Ababa, Abiy may have sensed the time is now to make a deal even though it may be too late too little. The problem for Abiy is although the international community was siding with him over the last year, it is distancing from him now. Our source told us the international community is well aware of who Abiy is now. He is a damaged good now.
Regardless of his latest gesture of allowing the UN Aid convoy to enter Tigray, the current ceasefire talk will not succeed if Abiy's removal from power is not part of the agreement according to knowledgeable sources,

Genocide in Tigray and Abiy Ahmed the incarnation of African Hitler
Mulugeta Abai, Toronto Canada 11-18-21 - With the intensification of international, regional and bilateral efforts to stop war in Ethiopia we call upon you to add your voice for peace and spare no time to stop the present genocidal war in Tigray. The atmosphere of hate, terror, violence, blockade, deliberate displacement and man-made famine imposed on Tigray by the Ethiopian government of Abiy Ahmed has all characteristics of genocide.

BETRAYAL AND CONSPIRACY AGAINST THE PEOPLE OF TIGRAY
Senay Tewolde 11-17-21 - The Tigray conflict which has exposed the epitome of human evil has been the daily talk of the world for a year, and it begs a question how we got here. For a moment, I would like to pause to divulge answering this critical and complex question and try to warm-up readers with a glimpse of an overall picture. Legend aside, though king Tedros tried hard but for all intents and purposes, failed and king Yohannes the 4th, succeeded in forming a loosely federated Ethiopia.

Inventing hell: how the Ethiopian and Eritrean regimes produced famine in Tigray
Tekelehaymanot G. Weldemichel - It has been a year since a devastating war broke out in the Tigray region, Northern Ethiopia, where hundreds of thousands of Tigrayan civilians are killed, millions internally displaced and tens of thousands have fled to seek refuge in neighboring Sudan. An alarming development linked to this war is the manmade famine in Tigray that now threatens the lives of the millions of civilians

US warns pilots of weapon fire as war nears Ethiopia capital
NAIROBI, Kenya (AP) - The United States is warning pilots that planes operating at one of Africa's busiest airports could be "directly or indirectly exposed to ground weapons fire and/or surface-to-air fire" as Ethiopia's war nears the capital, Addis Ababa. The Federal Aviation Administration advisory issued Wednesday cites the "ongoing clashes" between Ethiopian forces and fighters from the northern Tigray region, which have killed thousands of people in a year of war. The U.S. this week urged its citizens in Ethiopia to "leave now," saying there should be no expectation of an Afghanistan-style evacuation.

Derg 2.0 and Amhara Elites - Short Commentary.
I know it is not time to be ecstatic because Derg 2.0 is all but finished, however, I cannot hide my euphoria, the Al Mariam's and Tilahun's are back to where they were a year or two ago back at barking and crying. Their short gained success in dismantling the EPRDF is nothing to be gleaned about anymore. The Amhara Elites gambled on the notion - if TPLF can be removed from power in Addis they can have their 'Ethiopia' back. Little did they know there was and is no Ethiopia without Tigray. Ethiopia was really made up of Tigray and Tigrayan history. In short, the Ethiopia they were dreaming about was an illusion. The real ancient Ethiopia was Tigray, and the newer Federal Ethiopia was still Tigray PLUS more but is nearly gone now despite what Adanech Abebe, the so-called Gual Gobena is saying. - All this in one year! Kinezarebom Ena indeed!!
BTW, are there no Ph.D. holders from Wollo or Dessie that should cry loud about what is happening? I read many of the Amhara Elites writing and I see nothing about the fact that the whole Wollo is cut from the rest of Amhara and Ethiopia, yet no one is crying foul. Are they afraid if they do so they will expose the naked emperor in Addis?

There's a brutal conflict in Ethiopia. My family there ask: why does no one hear us?
On 4 November 2020 the world was occupied with the results of the US election. For myself and many others with family and friends in the Tigray region of Ethiopia, however, that day marked the beginning of a year-long nightmare. And it's one which the world has, for the most part, ignored.

You can't even cry loudly': Counting Ethiopia's war dead
STOCKHOLM, Sweden (AP) - The man who counts the dead sees them everywhere. They're in the handwritten lists of names smuggled out of a region cut off from the world by war. They're in the images of people shot and tossed off a cliff, tortured and pushed into a river, left unburied for days. They're announced by grieving families in social media posts.

Urgent Alert on the Mass Incarceration, Summary Execution of Tigrayan Civilians and Escalating Genocidal Rhetoric in Ethiopia
The Global Society of Tigray Scholars and Professionals (GSTS) would like to call to your urgent attention the current mass arrests, incarceration, internment in camps, and extrajudicial killings of Tigrayans across Ethiopia. The ethnic profiling, arbitrary arrest, incarceration, and forcible disappearance2 and torture of Tigrayans have progressively escalated over the last three years in Ethiopia.

A Framework for Transitional Federal Governance
Abebe Teklehaimanot (Major General) Nov 16, 2021 - Ethiopia is in grief because of grinding civil wars. The economic debacle and diplomatic mess are accelerating state failure. Tigray Defense Forces (TDF) and Oromo Liberation Army (OLA) have joined hands and claim that they have enough power to control the capital, Addis Abeba if deemed necessary. The federal government has declared that the condition is beyond the control of the armed forces and needs mobilization of the whole population and proclaimed a state of emergency.

Tigray Government Statement on Ethiopia's Response to US Sanction on Eritrea.
(Tigray Govt 11-14-21) - On November 13, 2021, the Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affairs(MFA) release a statement stating its objection to the U.S. Government's imposition of punitive sanctions on Eritrean officials and entities for their role in massive human rights violations in Tigray as well as the intensification and prolongation of conflict in Tigray. This statement, though not shocking in light of the Abiy regime's invitation of the Eritrean military to take part in its genocidal campaign against the people of Tigray, represents an embarrassing milestone ...

Message from President Debretsion (PhD)
Message from President Debretsion (PhD) to Tigrayans on Referendum, Self determination and the future of Tigray. Let there be no ambiguity of the sacrosanct nature of the right of Tigrayans to determine their own future!

Open Letter to Tegadalay Debretsion.(PhD)
From Ermias Hailu November 12, 2021 - Congratulations to you, your comrades, and the Tigray people for successfully foiling the joint conspiracy of Abiy, Isaias and "archaic unitary Ethiopia" dreamers to destroy and subdue the TPLF and the Tigray people. Though, the war has brought untold misery, genocidal killings, rape, destruction, famine, ethnic profiling/discrimination/ persecution/arrest and forced displacement of the Tigrayan people, TPLF and the Tigray people have once again passed through fire, refined as gold and...

Treasury Sanctions Four Entities and Two Individuals in Connection with the Crisis in Ethiopia
WASHINGTON - Today, the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) designated four entities and two individuals pursuant to Executive Order (E.O.) 14046 in response to the growing humanitarian and human rights crisis and expanding military conflict in Ethiopia. Today's action targets Eritrean actors that have contributed to the crisis and conflict, which have undermined the stability and integrity of the Ethiopian state.
The USA has to wait for a year long genocidal campaign and untold destruction of Tigray to issue this sanction. Shame Shame!!! Glad Tigray did not wait for the international community to be rescued. Bikiltsemina!

Response to Amnesty International's Report on Sexual Violence in Amhara Region
(Tigray Govt 11-10-21) - On November 10, 2021, Amnesty International (AI) issued a report on sexual violence allegedly committed by Tigrayan forces in the Amhara region. While we acknowledge what AI has over the past one year done to expose human rights abuse in Tigray and other parts of Ethiopia, its latest report is, however, based on a disturbingly flawed methodology, based as it is on a remote video-calling application as well as self-serving testimonies from regional and federal officials. Given this serious procedural error, it would be easy to dismiss the contents of the report. But since we take such accusations against our forces seriously, we feel compelled to address it head on.

Ethiopian authorities detain more than 70 U.N. drivers, amid reports of mass arrests
NAIROBI, Nov 10 (Reuters) - Ethiopian authorities have detained more than 70 drivers working with the United Nations, a U.N. spokesperson said, amid international alarm over reported widespread arrests of ethnic Tigrayans as the war in the country's north escalates.
